Volunteer Activist Committee

It all started when…

For more than 135 years, the members of our union have fought for better wages, working conditions, medical and retirement benefits, safety on the job, and a better way of life. Like all Americans, we want good collective communities to prepare our children for the future. Union members are strongest when they act together. Together, the members of District Council 10 make a difference on picket lines, volunteering in our communities, and making a difference at the voting booth.

District Council 10 members are involved in many activities that benefit their organization and their communities, like:

  • Raising funds for charities

  • Donation of labor on projects that benefit the underprivileged

  • Organizing activities

  • Shop Steward training

  • Voter registration drives

  • Political campaigns

If you are a DC 10 member and are willing to give a little of your time to help your union, please complete and submit a V.A.C. Application via our V.A.C. forms page on the left or click below.
